Payroll teams in Nepal face a new tax schedule for FY 2083/84. One unified slab table now applies to all resident individuals, and the top rate has dropped to 29%.
Employers must still withhold TDS correctly and deposit it with the Inland Revenue Department on time. The usual deadline is the 25th of the next Nepali month. Common errors include treating gross pay as taxable income and using old slabs after the new fiscal year starts.
